A shopping center positioned close to some of Fort Worth's wealthiest residential areas has a new owner. A real estate firm based in Washington, D.C. completed the acquisition of the property, which sits in a prime corridor that sees heavy daily traffic from nearby neighborhoods like Westover Hills and Rivercrest.
The retail hub, known for its mix of national tenants and local service businesses, changed hands in a deal that closed this month. The buyer, which focuses on acquiring grocery-anchored and necessity-based retail properties across the Sun Belt, paid an undisclosed amount for the site. The seller was a Dallas-area investment group that had held the asset for more than a decade.
Industry observers note that this part of Fort Worth has remained resilient even as some other retail segments struggle. The center benefits from high household incomes in the surrounding areas, with many residents spending on dining, personal care, and everyday goods. The new ownership group plans to refresh the exterior signage and parking lot, but no major tenant changes are expected in the near term.
Leasing activity at the property has been steady, with occupancy hovering in the mid-90s for the past two years. The acquisition adds to the buyer's growing portfolio of Texas assets, which now includes several centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Brokers involved in the transaction say the deal reflects continued investor appetite for well-located, stable retail in affluent suburbs, even as interest rates remain elevated. The property will continue to operate under its current name, and existing leases will remain in place.
