Singapore-based real estate technology company Ohmyhome has completed the sale of its property division for a symbolic $1, a move that shifts its remaining business focus entirely onto its digital marketing operations. The transaction comes as the company works to stabilize its financial position after a period of mounting losses.
According to recent filings, Ohmyhome reported a net loss of SGD 1.84 million, an improvement from previous periods as the company shed unprofitable operations. The divested property arm had been a significant drag on earnings, and its sale for a nominal sum reflects the challenges facing traditional brokerage models in a competitive market.
The company's digital marketing unit generated SGD 2.48 million in revenue, showing growth even as it continues to operate at a loss. Executives point to this segment as the core of the company's go-forward strategy, citing demand for online advertising and lead generation services in the real estate sector.
To support operations during the transition, Ohmyhome raised USD 1.6 million in additional capital. The funding is expected to provide short-term liquidity as management restructures the business around its remaining revenue stream.
The sale marks a notable pivot for a company that once positioned itself as an integrated property platform. Whether the digital marketing focus can deliver sustained profitability remains the central question for investors and stakeholders watching the company's next steps.
