Washington County Real Estate Transactions June 22

A fresh batch of real estate transactions has been recorded across Washington County, offering a snapshot of the local housing market in late June. Sales data from the county clerk's office shows a mix of single-family homes, vacant lots, and commercial properties changing hands in several towns.

In the town of Greenwich, a three-bedroom colonial on Maple Avenue sold for $385,000. The buyer, a young family relocating from Albany, secured the property after a brief negotiation period. Meanwhile, in Cambridge, a historic farmhouse on County Route 113 went for $520,000, with the new owners planning extensive renovations.

Further east, in Salem, a 12-acre wooded parcel was purchased for $95,000 by a local conservation group. The land, adjacent to existing protected wetlands, will remain undeveloped. In Jackson, a smaller residential lot on Birch Street sold for $45,000 to a builder who intends to construct a single-family home.

Commercial activity was also noted. A former auto repair shop on Main Street in Fort Edward was bought for $210,000 by a restaurant group. They plan to convert the space into a casual dining venue by early next year.

Other transactions included a duplex in Hudson Falls for $275,000 and a lakefront cottage in Whitehall for $310,000. The average sale price across the reported deals hovered around $290,000, reflecting steady demand despite rising interest rates. Local real estate agents note that inventory remains tight, with most homes receiving offers within two weeks of listing.
