Vango Development has started leasing at its new 86-unit residential building in East Rutherford, expanding the company's footprint in the Meadowlands area. The project brings a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments to a market that has seen steady demand for modern rental housing near major transit corridors.
The building offers amenities designed to appeal to commuters and young professionals. Residents will have access to a fitness center, coworking lounge, rooftop terrace, and package storage. Select units include in-unit laundry and private balconies. Parking is available on site, and the property sits within reasonable distance of the Rutherford train station, offering direct service into Manhattan.
East Rutherford has drawn increased attention from developers in recent years, partly because of its proximity to New York City and the American Dream complex. Several multifamily projects have broken ground in the surrounding towns, but supply has not kept pace with demand, keeping vacancy rates low across the submarket.
Vango has not disclosed exact rent figures, though leasing agents say pricing will be competitive with similar new construction in Bergen County. The first residents are expected to move in within the coming weeks as construction wraps on the final floors.
