Real Estate Braces for a Wave of Automated Content

Real Estate Braces for a Wave of Automated Content

Ryan Serhant's launch of an AI avatar channel is being framed as a bold step into the future of property marketing. It is also a warning sign. The same technology that lets a well-known agent clone himself and produce videos around the clock is available to anyone with a laptop and a modest budget. That means the market is about to be flooded with automated listings, synthetic tours, and endless streams of generic advice.

The open web has already run this experiment. When publishing costs drop to near zero, volume explodes and quality collapses. Search results fill with recycled text, fake expertise, and content designed to capture clicks rather than help people. Real estate looks especially vulnerable because it runs on trust. Buyers and sellers rely on local knowledge, honest pricing, and a human who answers the phone. An avatar can imitate a face and a voice, but it cannot walk a property or negotiate a repair credit.

Some agents will use these tools well, automating routine tasks while keeping real conversations intact. Others will chase cheap attention and drown the market in noise. The likely outcome is a split: platforms that verify human involvement will gain value, while unverified feeds become unusable. The flood is coming. The question is who builds the dam.
