A major intersection in South Los Angeles now permanently bears the name of the late rapper, entrepreneur, and community pillar Nipsey Hussle. The iconic crossroads of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue was officially dedicated as “Nipsey Hussle Square” in a ceremony attended by community members, city officials, and Hussle’s family.

The location holds profound significance, as it was the heart of Hussle’s upbringing and the site of his Marathon Clothing store. He often spoke of the area as his personal foundation. In a 2010 interview, Hussle reflected, “Age fourteen on up, my whole life took place on these four corners...This really was my foundation.”
